La Quinta is home to some of the most phenomenal golf communities in the world. In fact, The Robb Report has named La Quinta as "America’s ultimate golfing destination."

The latest addition, SilverRock Resort, was developed by the City of La Quinta. It is a 525-acre public recreation and resort complex tucked between the Santa Rosa Mountains and Avenue 52. The initial course completed in January 2005, is the first public-access course in the valley designed by part-time resident Arnold Palmer.

And golf is just the beginning. Tennis, hiking, bicycling, swimming, horseback riding and water sports at Lake Cahuilla are there for the folks who like a workout enhanced by the beauty around them.

World-class events are also a highlight of La Quinta — everything from the internationally acclaimed La Quinta Arts Festival, the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic and the Skins Game are enjoyed by residents and visitors each year.
