 AMBASSADORS
 Purpose: Create good will for the La Quinta Chamber of Commerce
 Objectives:
 • Benefits to Chamber • Provide assistance at Chamber events • Provide assistance with membership retention • Identify and recruit new members • Refer potential members to Membership Director
 Benefits to Ambassador:
 Partner with one of the most dynamic and fastest growing chambers in the Coachella Valley
 AMBASSADOR REQUESTS FOR CHAMBER EVENTS
 MAYOR’S LUNCHEONS*:
 • Typically held bi-monthly beginning in January on the 1st Thursday of the month • 2 Ambassadors will be needed to greet at the door and direct guests to the proper registration table, i.e. prepaid, credit card, cash • Greeters should welcome the guest speaker(s) and take them to Diane or the Program Chair • 2 Ambassadors will be needed to help at the registration with staff • 2 Ambassadors will be needed to sell tickets for the 50/50 drawing • As many Ambassadors as possible should be mingling with guests, looking for any attendee(s) who are standing alone. Introduce yourself and then introduce them to others • 2 Ambassadors to help pack up materials and take to cars for return to Chamber
MIXERS:
 • Typically 4th Wednesday of each month from 5:15 pm to 7:00 pm • 2 Ambassadors will be needed as greeters at the door to welcome members and guests to our Mixer. This is a very important function of the Chamber, as our Ambassadors will be the first contact our members and guests will have before they get to the check-in table • Any Ambassador attending the Mixer is asked to act as our good-will Ambassador. Please take the time to introduce yourself to our members/guests and circulate. If new members attend, please help them meet Board Members, the President/CEO, and other guests to ease their entry into the event.
 POWER LUNCHES*:
 • 2 Ambassadors to welcome members and introduce to others. Help staff seat those who have not made reservations or when table seating needs to be reshuffled • 2 Ambassadors to help with registration and payment • Ambassadors can the depart if they are not participating in the Power Lunch program • We would appreciate any remaining Ambassadors’ help with packing up materials and transporting them to cars for return to the Chamber
 THE BREAKFAST NETWORK*:
 • 2 Ambassadors to welcome guests and show them to the registration table. Welcome guest speaker and introduce speaker to Chair or Diane. Later, help with seating • 2 Ambassadors to help with check-in and payment from attendees • 2 Ambassadors to collect business cards for the “early bird” drawing. Last card to go into drawing is at 7:00 a.m. SHARP • Ambassadors who are not staying for the program may leave. Help with gathering materials and transport to cars for return to the Chamber is welcomed
 GOLF TOURNAMENT:
 • We need at least 8 Ambassadors to work at the tournament at both and registration area and on the course. We have a lot of fun at this event and Ambassador participation is vital. (2 at check-in; 2 selling raffle tickets; 2 selling mulligans; and 2 on the course – alternating – to monitor the “Outdrive the Mayor” contest)
 TOYS FOR TOTS:
 • Greeters will be needed to welcome guests and help them put their gifts in the toy boxes. Come join in the Spirit of the Holidays!
 BUSINESS EXPO:
 • 2 shifts of Ambassadors will be needed 3:30 – 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. We request the aid of our Ambassadors to assist our guests in finding their way and in helping our vendors set up • Ambassadors will be needed to staff the entrance area to pass out directories, etc. If a food expo is included, Ambassadors may be needed to sell coupons. Greets are also needed to welcome our guests
 NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION:
 • Arrive early to welcome new members. Help them with coffee, etc. • Mingle and introduce them to others in attendance
*- NOTE: Mixers are our treat, but our budget precludes luncheon & breakfast admissions.
